The Teachers Re-engage Program has been established to actively support teachers who retired or resigned prior to 2021. The program aims to increase the number of casual relief teachers in NSW public schools, by reconnecting with our valued former employees.

NSW teachers have received the largest pay increase for teachers in three decades, meaning there has never been a better time for retired or separated teachers to re-engage in employment as a casual, temporary or permanent teacher with the NSW Department of Education.

The department is dedicated to assisting returning teachers to best understand their employment preferences. Great teachers play a vital role in improving student outcomes so we look forward to re-engaging with our experienced teachers.
